Day 3: Tue 12 Dec - Fassifern to Glen Innes, 286km, total towed: 1,302km
18-28 degC, cloudy to start the day to lovely blue sky with wispy clouds, windy Walk: 6km; total: 8.5km We were on the road at 6:50am, heading west'ish then south. We made a pit stop at Dalveen and took the scenic route back to the highway. Next stop was at Wallangarra, at the same spot as yesterday, for mornos. Greg inspected the undercarriage just to make sure nothing else had fallen off and found that the lead to one of the brakes had come loose, so fixed that. Not long after recommencing our journey, Wendy just happened to look on the wing mirror to see the front roof hatch open!! Came to a halt and re-latched the thing. We had no more incidents. We stopped at Deepwater to check out their Historic Railway Station which was very photogenic. We arrived at Glen Innes Showground at 1pm (12pm QLD time), set up and had lunch.
