Day 14: Sat 23 Dec - Canberra
9-26 deg C, didn't feel as as cold as yesterday this morning, sunny for most of the day with that very friendly wind
Ride: 40km; total: 157km
We were up early to get to Woolies to beat the last minute shoppers; needn't have bothered as it wasn't as busy as expected. When we got home, Greg walked over the road to EPIC (Exhibition Park In Canberra) to the Farmers Markets and brought home two pies, chunky beef and French veg (no prizes for guessing who the beef one was for). We had these for breakfast/mornos.
We then went for a ride to Fyshwick via the north-eastern edge of LBG, and back via the south-east edge. There were a lot of people out and about today, on bikes, scooters, walking/running, which was great to see. Another great ride in the ACT.
Back at the van, Wendy did a quick change and went out to acquire drinks for our two Christmas dos we have - one tomorrow night and the other on Christmas day, whilst Greg had lunch and a little snooze.
Being a Saturday night, we decided to have Thai takeaways. The meals were OK, not the best we've had, but certainly not the worst. Canberra's Asian food is generally very good.
It's building up again!
