Day 18: Wed 27 Dec - Canberra

13-23 deg C, a few early morning downpours to a sunny late morning and early afternoon, to thunderstorms in the afternoon, then sunny again. A real mixed bag of weather today, anyone would think we were in Melbourne!
Ride: 50km: total: 299km

We lay in bed for a little while this morning just listening to the lovely rain. Then it all stopped quite suddenly, so after our morning routine we  hopped on the bikes and rode to Bob and Noeleene's for mornos. Bob didn't need much tempting for a ride with us to mum and dad's place as Greg had to measure the awning that needs replacing. Job done and after a quick catchup, we headed home as it was lunch time. Half way home Bob speared off to his place and we continued along Northbourne Avenue to the van park. We made it with minutes to spare before it started to rain, not heavily, but enough to keep us inside the van for a while. It also put on a lightning and thunder show for our entertainment.

After dinner Greg decided to go and check Bunnings for repair material for the awning. Any excuse to wander around his favourite store.
