Day 5: Thu 14 Dec - Armidale
17-30 deg C, a mixed bag today - overcast and windy to cloudy and sunny with wind, storms with small hail in the afternoon
Walk: 4km; total: 21
Drive: 90km
Greg had an ordinary sleep last night due to the COVID running rampant in his blood and woke up with a raging temperature. Wendy prescribed paracetamol 1000mg, which Greg took without argument and lay in bed for a while longer. About an hour later he was feeling a little better, phew!
Wendy put another load of washing on and after it was hung out to dry, we Cruisered to the New England Regional Art Museum. We left the vehicle there as it did not open until 10am, and walked to the Armidale Bicentennial Arboretum, that was nothing to write home about. It had a nice water feature and that was about all.
Back to the art museum for breakfast/mornos that was very nice and fed the poor starving worms. Batteries fully re-charged, we perused the art that was on display. There were some really good pieces and some really not so good ones, plenty of variety that's for sure.
We made our way back to the van via Bunnings and the fuel station. Greg then had a two hour nap, before he was rudely awoken by Wendy making a coffee.
Greg went for another walk and the rest of the afternoon was spent doing odd chores.
There is a dog show at the showground this weekend, and the influx of humans with their doggies started this afternoon. There is a lot of yapping going on and it is driving Wendy nuts! Hopefully they will all sleep when the sun goes down.
If you look very carefully, you'll see Greg (red shirt) on a bench on the hill
The waterfall at the arboretum - have to press a button and it takes about five minutes for the water to cascade down all levels

Greg's favourite; an artist's horse
Wish we could have sent some of this to Hippo Farm
