Day 8: Sun 17 Dec - Forbes to Canberra, 278km; total towed: 2,286km; total driven: 2,376km

17 (Forbes) - 27 (Cbr) degC, windy
Ride: 43km (not bad for a first ride in a little over a week

We left our camp at Forbes at 7:30am, heading in the direction of Yass. We had mornos at Cowra before moving onto Murrumbateman for breakfast. Not long after that, we were checked in at Canberra Park on site #30 at 12:40pm.

As we had not ridden since leaving Howard seven days ago, Greg was keen to re-assemble his bike and RIDE! So, we RODE. First stop was at Wendy's mum and dad, then her brother about 600m up the road. Then off to Wendy's other brother about 8km from mum and dad. We became a tad challenged, due to roadworks and closures, on the way home, but eventually made it back to the van just before 6pm.

Whilst Greg completed the van setup - awning and privacy screens, Wendy prepared dinner. We had a later than usual dinner, then settled down to watch a bit of TV and do the blog.

Tomorrow we explore Canberra and hopefully catch up with B&N.
