Day 9: Mon 18 Dec - Canberra

15-29 degC, a lovely day in Canberra
Ride: 31km; total: 74km

After a sleep in until 7:30am, and a load of washing, we took the bikes for a ride to Dickson for breakfast. That done, we continued into the city to Lonsdale St to check out the bicycle shops; there were several when we lived in Canberra but only one survives today.

We then had a ride around the northern edges of Lake Burley Griffin, which was loosely in the direction of home. We had another cuppa back at the van, and did another load of washing, before a late lunch then rest.

The afternoon saw Wendy play domestic goddess (hard to picture, we know) to clean the van that had  been a little neglected since departure a week ago. More washing, etc, whilst Greg went for a ride to meet up with Bob and do a short mountain bike ride. 60km for him today.

Dinner, watching London Zoo at Christmas, teeth, shower, and bed. A great first full day in Canberra.
